Two meshing gears are rotated by the flow energy of the medium, the amount of liquid is transferred be tween the housing and flank of tooth. Based on the measured frequency the correct flow rate is determined. By default, the GFM are measured and calibrated in flow direction (see label) for mineral oil at 30mm²/s, optionally other calibration viscosities or a calibration in both directions are possible.

Precise gear flow meter according to displacement with internal thread connection according to DIN ISO 228, available with frequency (square wave signal) or signal converter and analogue (4 ... 20mA) output.
